Richard R Finch, who was a music producer and is also known for co founding KC and the Sunshine band, admitted to having sex with young boys recently. He was responsible for several of the bands largest hits including “Shake Your Booty” and “Keepin It Comin’ Love.” He admitted to officials on Thursday that he has engaged in sexual acts with several different boys over the course of the last few years. Finch is 56 years old, and other members of the band have yet to comment on the reported story.
He was arrested on Tuesday, when one of the boys that was supposedly assaulted came forward and described the situation to authorities. It was the first accusation to be made against Finch. It is unclear exactly how many young boys have fallen victim to Finch, but he did claim that he has had sex with several different boys ranging in age from 13 to 17 over the course of the last few years.
Finch, at the height of his career, won a Grammy award for his work with the band. It is reported that he has his bond set at $250,000 and it is unclear if the star has enough money to post the bond. A message on his website stated that the allegations that were made against Finch were “baseless” and went on to say that they would let the legal system prove his innocence. Finch has yet to comment publicly on the matter, and the message on his website was posted by his lawyer or another representative of the formerly popular musician. According to several authorities who have become familiar with the case against Finch have stated that there has been no date that has been set for Finch’s arraignment.
