Oktoberfest Cincinnati 2010 – Octoberfest Festival – Oktoberfest celebrations have kicked off in the Cincinnati area. The festival will bring in a lot of tourism money and will offer a lot of different events to go to for locals that are often deprived.
If you enjoy beer, the Oktoberfest in Cincinnati is the place to be. They will have thousands of different types of beer on tap, from a number of different vendors. This is the second biggest party in the world, second only to the party that is thrown in Germany every year.
It is an event that has changed most people’s outlooks on the city as a whole. Oktoberfest and the Bengals game will be going on at the same time on Sunday, so that should provide enough entertainment if you are planning on being in that area.
Keep in mind that the event is also known for “no parking” signs all around the event. It can be very hard to find a good place to park, so many opt for transportation on the buses or in taxi cabs. It is probably a good idea to take a taxi anyway, since there is a good chance that you will not be able to drive home after enjoying all of that tasty beer.
Officials for the festival have said that they are expecting as many as half of a million people to show up. In Munich, this is the 200th anniversary of the festival. The Cincinnati festival is only in their 35th year, but is building a tradition all the same.
