Michelle Obama iPod:Beyoncé Rihanna & Usher – Michele Obama spoke with many different children during the “take your child to work” day at the White House. She was asked a number of questions by the young crowd during the course of a 43 minute session. Originally, Michele Obama had brought Bo, the Obamas dog, but had to excuse him from the room after he became too excited around all of the children. Bo is a Portuguese Water Dog.
The kids asked Michele Obama a number of different questions, but the question that has received the most attention pertained to the type of music that Michele listens to.
“Oh, that’s a good question. I like all kinds of music,” she said. “All right, so this is what’s in my iPod, some of the stuff that’s in my iPod. I love Stevie Wonder.” She told the crowd of children.
“I’ve got some Rihanna, I’ve got some Beyonce — I love Beyonce. Oh, yeah, I love some Beyonce. I’ve got some new Usher on my CD. I’m trying to relate the things that are on there that you could connect with. Sting, anyone? Sting? No?” Michele Obama also stated.
It looks as though her taste in music is fairly ranged. During a visit to the “Jay Leno Show” last October, she told Leno that she listens to Sting, Stevie Wonder, Sara Bareilles, Robin Thicke and Herbie Hancock. The two lists contain a number of the same artists, although Michele included a number of more modern musicians when she was addressing the crowd of children during the White House’s “take your child to work day.”
