Sarah Palin Slams Barack Obama Superpower Remark – Sarah Palin has been rather quick in the news lately to attack some of Obama’s theories, plans and procedures.It started when Sarah Palin criticized President Barack Obama just this Saturday when he said that America is a military superpower. Sarah says that she is “taken aback” and shocked by his comment.
Sarah said to reporters that “I would hope that our leaders in Washington, D.C. understand we like to be a dominant super power. I don’t understand a world view where we have to question whether we like it or not that America is powerful.”
Obama revealed just earlier this week that America needs to focus more on doing everything that we can to resolve ongoing conflicts saying,”We need to solve them all around the world, not just in the United States long before they turn into something more serious that could be detrimental to the country or our allies.” Palin’s comment towards what Obama had to say came just after his presentation when the question and answer time came up. The speech Obama gave was in Illinois in Washington which was to help raise money for scholarships and a community center.Obama has tried to stay out of the spotlight as best as possible, as it is clear that he doesn’t feel arguing about statements and comments he made are a critical matter for the country.

Palin cannot help herself. She wants her name and photo in the news as often as possible, ensuring ever larger fees for her pitiful excuse for a speech. As a Fox News ‘commentator,’ she should not even be allowed to earn money from political entities, but there you go. She should also be held to account for her various stances (for instance, how can the woman the right thinks of as ‘mother of the year’ spend so much time away from her kids and still be revered as a wonderful parent?) One day she or one of her wild children will be called to account, and we’ll see then if she is the model of Christian charity, or a conniving money grubber.

A few days ago, Sarah Palin wrote a Facebook post. In that post, she said…
Asked this week about his faltering efforts to advance the Middle East peace process, President Obama did something remarkable. In front of some 47 foreign leaders and hundreds of reporters from all over the world, President Obama said that “whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower.”
Whether we like it or not? Most Americans do like it. America’s military may be one of the greatest forces for good the world has ever seen, liberating countless millions from tyranny, slavery, and oppression over the last 234 years. As a dominant superpower, the United States has won wars hot and cold; our military has advanced the cause of freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan and kept authoritarian powers like Russia and China in check.
Granted, Palin parsed President Obama’s words.
The full quote is:
But what we can make sure of is, is that we are constantly present, constantly engaged, and setting out very clearly to both sides our belief that not only is it in the interests of each party to resolve these conflicts but it’s also in the interest of the United States. It is a vital national security interest of the United States to reduce these conflicts because whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower, and when conflicts break out, one way or another we get pulled into them. And that ends up costing us significantly in terms of both blood and treasure.
Obama’s point? Whether we like it or not, we’ll get pulled into conflicts which cost America money. NOT whether we like it or not, we’re a strong military power.
There’s a great difference between the two sentiments. Missing that difference either means that a) Ms. Palin is parsing together words for dramatic Facebook content; or b) Ms. Palin is unable to comprehend the difference.
