Sarah Palin Carly Fiorina Endorsement:Palin Snubs Tea Party Candidate Chuck DeVore – Sarah Palin had remained silent about who she supported in California’s Senate race until today. Today Palin announced that she will be endorsing Carly Fiorina in the state’s republican primary. She made the decision to back Fiorina over GOP rivals Tom Campbell and Chuck DeVore. In her statement, Palin had said that she admired the way that Fiorina went about handling her politics, and loved that she grew up from a modest background.

“She grew up in a modest home with a school teacher dad, worked her way through several colleges, and then entered an arena where few women had tread,” Palin said in her statement that was released today. “Through a combination of hard work, perseverance, and common sense, she proved the naysayers wrong to reach the top of her field, where she led with distinction – facing hard truths, making tough decisions, and showing real leadership through a rocky transition period. Where others had failed, her company had weathered the storm and settled on a stronger new foundation.”

Fiorina has said that she was both “honored and grateful” for Palin’s endorsement, an endorsement that will likely weigh heavily on the minds of voters in the upcoming primary elections. California has primarily been a democratic state for many years, but recent bickering over immigration laws and a large amount of debt in the state have forced some democrats to consider going a different route.
“She, too, is a political outsider and a strong fiscal conservative, and we share a common concern for the direction our country is headed in under Barbara Boxer and her allies in Washington,” Fiorina said.

  1. Governor Palin has made a mistake. Chuck DeVore is the conservative in the race. I will support Chuck DeVore regardless of who Governor Palin has selected.

    Skeptical

  2. Governor Palin has made a mistake. Chuck DeVore is the conservative in the race. I will support Chuck DeVore regardless of who Governor Palin has endorsed.

  3. Palin can endorse whomever she pleases (although her description of Fiorino’s upbringing sounds like she’s talking about herself) but she is showing the Tea Party that she is not one of them, and they needed that. Palin supports Palin, and will do anything, say anything, for a headline and $100,000. And is it any surprise that a woman who routinely quits jobs is enamored by a woman who was fired from her Fortune 500 company?

  4. So what if Sarah Palin snubs the tea-baggers? It won’t have any effect on November’s election. The tea-baggers are just a sad group of old, white, rich, malcontent republicans who hate blacks, asians, hispanics, the middle class and the poor and can’t stand the fact that we have a black president. When they howl “TAKE BACK AMERICA!!!” they mean to take it back from the minorities. Luckily the tea-baggers are far outnumbered by the middle class and the poor so they will have little effect in November. Mark Montgomery NYC, NY boboberg@nyc.rr.com

  5. Mark Montgomery knows nothing about the people he derisively calls “teabaggers.” Instead of his uninformed rant, what is more likely to be true is that Mark Montgomery is a female-hating, ne’er-do-well who can’t hold a job, is socially inept, and uses the guise of “liberalism” to keep people of color in their place by telling them they could not make it in America if it weren’t for white Democrat politicians giving them special treatment.
Unfortunately there are a lot of small-minded, power-hungry, bigoted people like Mark and they all vote Democrat.
