Immigration Big Role In Arizona Primary – The immigration reforms in Arizona could be the key to locking in a Congress that is once again ruled by Republicans, but a few of the party’s top names have had difficulty getting where they want to be.
John McCain is fighting for his fifth term in the U.S. Senate. He was struggling with an opponent that was challenging him from the right of his party, a radio host by the name of J.D. Hayworth.

The host had long been giving McCain grief for his stance on citizenship for illegal immigrants, saying, “It is about time you represent we the people of the United States of America and your Arizona constituents instead of illegal invaders and criminal trespassers.”

However, McCain bide his time and began running ads for his candidacy on Hayworth’s radio show before he host even entered the race. His cards were played correctly, and McCain is currently in front with a 20-point lead.

There are four candidates on the Democratic side that will go up against either McCain or Hayworth during the November election.
The role of governor will be filled either by Republican Jan Brewer or Democrat state Attorney General Terry Goddard.
